What Eastside Fire & Rescue Chaplains Do

Duties
Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) Chaplains perform the following duties:
- Assist EF&R personnel at the emergency scene
- Serve as part of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM)
- Provide assistance to patients, victims, and family members in crisis
- Make death notifications
- Counsel and care for EF&R personnel and their families
- Visit EF&R personnel and family members who are sick or injured, at home, or in the hospital
- Serve as a community liaison with other clergy and the faith community
- Visit station houses and offer support in the field
