What Eastside Fire & Rescue Chaplains Do

Duties


Eastside Fire & Rescue (EF&R) Chaplains perform the following duties:
  • Assist EF&R personnel at the emergency scene
  • Serve as part of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM)
  • Provide assistance to patients, victims, and family members in crisis
  • Make death notifications
  • Counsel and care for EF&R personnel and their families
  • Visit EF&R personnel and family members who are sick or injured, at home, or in the hospital
  • Serve as a community liaison with other clergy and the faith community
  • Visit station houses and offer support in the field
